Description: Greenways.shp is a GIS PolyLine Layer Representing Greenways and Trails Corridors in Miami-Dade County FloridaThis file is a compilation of trails in the North Dade Greenways Master Plan and the South Dade Greenways Master Plan, and recent trails. This layer was last updated by Andy McCall on June 24, 2013. Background:The Layer builds upon the corridors described by the North Dade Greenways Master Plan and the South Dade Greenway Network Master Plan, and goes farther in linking these green fingers into a holistic, seamless system. Its corridors weave through new parks, tie into bike lanes, and act as verdant channels that draw people into natural resource areas. Canals and levees managed by the South Florida Water Management District are converted into greenways and trails corridors. For further information, visit: http://www.miamidade.gov/parksmasterplan/trails-vision.aspAll trails were drawn using a January 2012 Woolpert aerial orthophoto; with trail alignment editing completed at an approximate scale of 1 inch = 200 feet.
